Integrative and Lifestyle Medicine for Whole-Body Healing
Through my years of experience, I have found that our life experiences, including trauma, live in our body and impact our daily routines. These experiences can have a significant effect on our health and well-being, influencing our physical, emotional, mental, and behavioral health.
Through Lifestyle Medicine, we focus on incorporating healthy habits and routines that support long-term healing and well-being. By optimizing areas such as mental and emotional health, nutrition, physical activity, sleep, stress management, and social connection, many people are able to experience lasting relief and work toward a more pain-free lifestyle.
Using complementary and alternative approaches, now commonly referred to as Integrative Medicine, we recognize the important connection between the mind, body, and spirit. Supporting this connection can help regulate pain and improve overall health, allowing you to regain control instead of feeling controlled by your pain.
After having my own children and experiencing pelvic floor problems, as well as perinatal and postpartum anxiety, I began my journey into women’s health and pelvic rehabilitation. My goal became helping others find relief and support through compassionate, trauma-informed care. I am passionate about advocating for women’s health, increasing awareness of pelvic health, and helping people better understand the connection between their bodies and overall wellness.
I earned my Doctorate in Behavioral Health, focusing on the relationship between behavioral health and its impact on physical conditions. As a lifelong learner, I continue to study with leaders in the field, including Herman & Wallace, Essential Pelvic Health, Institute of Birth Healing, The Functional Pelvis, Restore Your Core, and John Barnes’ Women’s Health Myofascial Release.
By integrating myofascial release therapy, pelvic floor rehabilitation, lifestyle medicine, and holistic mind-body approaches, the goal is to help people find lasting relief and return to a life filled with meaning, movement, and improved well-being.
