Integrative, Lifestyle and Mind-Body Medicine
Through my years of experience, I have found that our life experiences, including trauma, live in our body and impact our daily routines. They have a significant impact on our health and well-being, encompassing our physical, emotional, mental, and behavioral health. By incorporating healthy habits and routines through Lifestyle Medicine, you can achieve lasting relief and maintain a pain-free lifestyle by optimizing your mental and emotional health, nutrition, physical activity, sleep, stress management, and social connections. Using complementary and alternative approaches, now called Integrative medicine, we find that the connection between your mind, body, and spirit can help control your pain, instead of your pain controlling you. After having my own children and experiencing pelvic floor problems, perinatal and postpartum anxiety, I began my journey into women's health and pelvic rehab, wanting to offer relief for all people. I'm passionate about advocating for women's health, trauma-informed care, and bringing awareness to pelvic health. I graduated with my Doctor in Behavioral Health, focusing on the intersection between behavioral health and its impact on physical conditions. As a lifelong learner, I continue to learn from leaders in the field, including Herman & Wallace, Essential Pelvic Health, Institute of Birth Healing, the Functional Pelvis, Restore Your Core and John Barnes' Women's Health Myofascial Release. By integrating myofascial release with healthy lifestyle routines, holistic mind-body approaches, and pelvic floor rehabilitation, you can find lasting relief and return to a life with meaning.
